Adios Cusco, I lived in this great city for 14 days, 3,300 meters higher than usual, I was able to experience a lot, it was a great time! I got to know a lot of very, very nice people, first of all Roberto, who helped me in all situations, especially with my work. He drew my attention to many places, gave me lots of wonderful information about the places, the history and the background, and was also available to look after the camera and, of course, as an interpreter – everything was wonderful! All the cab drivers were also very nice and courteous!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These two people accompanied me on today’s last day, a day just before I left Cusco for Lake Titicaca, even higher. The day started with going to see the woman with her stall that I wanted to photograph last week, the “todos-los-dias” woman. When we got there at 7:10 today, she wasn’t there again, but the cab driver knew that the three bags on the street belonged to her. There was hope. On the one hand, she was coming, but on the other, I could see the sun rising and the shade fading. I really wanted to photograph her in the shade. Well, she came \u2026 it took her a while to bring her stand, set it up \u2026 and almost before she was finished, the first guests came to have breakfast. My pulse was at 180 because my eyes were focused solely on the shadow line. I managed to persuade her to get into position, but another customer was (of course) preferred. By 7.30 the shot was in the can, it took me at least an hour to calm down from the excitement.
After breakfast, we continued in various other stations, thank God more relaxed, the day was very successful and I was happy.
I have to pack in the evening and leave early tomorrow: by train to Lake Titicaca!
I’m really looking forward to it!
