It’s nice to know where I’ll be spending the first few days: with Ms. Ha in Can Tho. As last time, I wrote to the Goethe Institutes and also to the couple who wrote the Vietnam travel guide published by Stefan Loose Verlag: Andrea and Markus Markand. Andrea gave me lots of detailed tips, including about the fantastic tour guide Ms. Ha, who she said would surely be able to think of good places for my photography wishes. The room in Ms. Ha’s guesthouse costs 350,000 Vietnamese dong, which is a lot of money that takes some getting used to. That’s the equivalent of €11.30. I’m glad that the guesthouse is near the river, which will make things easier.
