Got up again at 6:00 a.m., walked to the dock, hoping that the vegetable boat woman would be there again. I wasn’t quite sure if I had set the picture really well yesterday, so I decided to do it again. In the rising light, unfortunately without sun as it was overcast, I waited with the feeling that hopefully the woman would come. It was still relatively dark when she turned the corner. Not really pleased to go through the procedure again, she went along with it. And when I bought a pineapple with a generous tip, everything was fine.
Afterwards, we had breakfast on the terrace, and as soon as a scooter salesman announced his arrival, I jumped up and set up my camera for: brooms were on offer, cleaning cloths, bread, detergent. But it was clear that there were fewer scooters on the road on Sunday.
A nice acquaintance from Bonn (Roswitha and Klaus – have a good trip!) added to the last few days with good and interesting conversations. This morning we shared all kinds of fantastic fruits with each other.

The meat roller driver was also on the road again, this time visibly transporting the meat, which was lying on his cutting board during the journey. The woman across from our homestay came running over and bought the last piece, and everyone was happy. At the end of his shift, he smoked a cigarette.

I spent the afternoon in Can Tho again because—and this is quite a worst-case scenario—my Adobe with Photoshop and Lightroom “suddenly” (probably over the turn of the year) said that they no longer wanted to work with my operating system and that I should (finally) update. I don’t like doing that abroad, and I would have done it if I could have made a proper backup, but being close to China doesn’t help when it comes to getting large memory cards…. So I apologize to all my readers if the photos on the blog are unedited from now on, there’s nothing I can do about it….
.
However, I did gain another experience in Can Tho: I tried Grab (like Uber) as a bike… and felt very unsafe. We wore helmets, but if my bare legs had scraped across the asphalt, that wouldn’t have been good either. So, from now on, I’ll stick to cars again…
