Yes, after 14 days, it has to be done…. 😊
.

Today is travel day, from Muong Dinh to Chau Doc.
Travel days like this always make me feel a little humble. I’ve been here for 14 days now and haven’t gotten sick. I eat and drink everything I want, and my stomach and intestines handle it without any problems. Of course, every time I go to a new café or restaurant, I always wonder if everything will be okay.
There’s a small splinter in my toe, but thankfully it hasn’t become infected. Traveling here in this country seems to be rather unproblematic for our European bodies.
I’m now changing location and will travel 100 km up the Mekong in a remarkable reclining sleeper bus to Chau Doc. I want to take it easy there, as my energy levels are already somewhat limited.

Once I arrived here at a hotel, I immediately walked to the Mekong River for my first coffee. I will probably take a tour tomorrow to see the floating houses. We’ll see how it goes.
Walking through the streets, I saw other interesting things, such as an ornamental fish seller and a supermarket whose entrance was blocked off, presumably because bikes would otherwise park right in front of it. It was also already heavily decorated in preparation for the TET festival, “luna new years ev.”
